LISD TECH Center Welding students, Miranda Jenks and Elijah Rupp, from Blissfield High School, volunteered their time to present at the Blissfield Elementary career fair. They educated the students about welding safety and career opportunities. The presentation included a basic explanation of welding, a display of their welding uniforms and safety gear (such as jackets, gloves, steel-toe boots, and helmets), a hands-on display of welded objects for the students to examine, and a discussion on the various industries where welders can work.

In our Machining and CAM program, teamwork and problem-solving go hand in hand, shaping the next generation of skilled machinists. Instructor Al Constable leads by example, stepping in to assist a student, demonstrating that success in this field isn’t just about mastering machines—it’s about collaborating, thinking critically, and tackling challenges together.
